Disciplers International is committed to making disciples of Jesus Christ
Mission and Vision:
The Mission and Vision of this ministry is stated by Jesus in His command to "make disciples of all nations" (Matthew 28:19). The mission ("make disciples") and vision ("all nations") of Jesus is a mandate to all who know Christ as Savior and Lord. Becoming a disciple of Jesus Christ and equipping others to become His disciples is the responsibility of every Christian.
Purpose and Objectives:
The purpose of discipling is "for the equipping of the saints for the work of service, to the building up of the body of Christ." (Ephesians 4:12)
Our objectives are:
- To equip as many Faithful, Intentional, Teachable (FIT) followers of Jesus Christ as quickly and consistently as possible, one relationship at a time.
- To strengthen disciplers by encouraging participation in discipleship groups that meet regularly for the purposes of accountability, prayer, worship, fellowship and ministry.
Process and Expectations:
The discipling process is facilitated through one-on-one and small group relationships. Each disciple is mentored by a discipler who has completed the 14 Step training process, which includes accountability, prayer, worship, fellowship, memorization of Scripture and inductive Bible study. After completing the 14 Steps, each disciple is expected to reproduce the process in other “FIT” followers of Christ. Paul's guidance to Timothy is our model to follow: "The things which you have heard from me in the presence of many witnesses, entrust these to faithful men who will be able to teach others also." (2 Timothy 2:2)
